A Year Over Year Comparison of March 2017 and March 2018
What are the latest statistics from the Deforest/Windsor area from last March? How do they compare with the numbers from March 2017?
In Deforest, the number of total sales dropped from 31 in March 2017 to 23 in March 2018. The average days on market also dropped, going from 62 to 54 days. The average sale price, however, rose from $279,000 to $310,000.
In Sun Prairie, the number of total sales rose from 44 in March 2017 to 46 in March 2018. The average sale price also rose from $249,000 to $290,000. In contrast, the average days on market dropped here from 58 to 34 days.

In Madison, the number of sales rose slightly from 321 in March 2017 to 326 in March 2018, while the average sale price dropped slightly from $296,000 to $295,000. The average days on market decreased from 59 to 44 days.
These are the numbers, but if you’re thinking about selling your home this year, remember that its value can be very specific depending on which neighborhood or street you live on.
