Your June 2018 Monthly Market Update Is Ready
The numbers are in and you know what that means. It’s time for your monthly market update for June 2018.
Starting off in DeForest and Windsor, June 2018 saw 27 sales with an average sales price of $306,000. Homes in this area spent an average of 40 days on the market. Meanwhile, in June of 2017, there were 53 sales with an average sales price of $322,000 and average days on the market of only 29. This means that there was a 30% decrease in total sales and a 5% decrease in home values from 2017 to 2018.
In Waunakee and Westport, there were 26 sales with an average home price of $434,000 for June of 2018. While the 37 average days on the market was the same from 2017 to 2018, sales were down 28% from last year. There were 50 homes sold in the month of June 2017. Sales price, meanwhile, was up 19% from last year’s $355,000.
“Overall, sales across the board are down quite a bit for the month of June compared to last year.”
For the Sun Prairie, Bristol, and Burke areas, June 2018 saw 111 sales with an average sales price of $297,000. Homes spent an average of 28 days on the market in this area. This was also a decrease in the number of homes sold in June 2017 when there were 118 sales. However, it is a 3% increase in the total average value from last year’s $289,000. The average days on the market also increased from 2017’s 20.
Finally, in Madison, there were 590 total sales for the month of June of 2018. The average sales price was $308,000 with average days on the market of 34. That was a 7% decrease in the total number of sales compared to last year’s 634, and a 3% increase in value compared to last year’s $298,000. The average days on the market in 2017, meanwhile, was only 26.
